Where It All Began

Brought to you by the people behind Chai Wallahs.

> What Is WIAB

We're the people
behind it.

27 years of Chai Wallahs proved something — that you can run things fairly, pay people properly, and build a real community, and it works. Not as a nice idea. As a model that lasts. Where It All Began is what happens when the same people ask: what if we built a whole festival that way? It's not our name on someone else's idea. It's the same hands, the same standards, the same belief — applied to something bigger than one stage.

What This Means

  • Same people. Same standards. New scale.
  • Chai's history is the proof this way works.
  • When we talk about WIAB, we're the people behind it — not the brand behind it.

What This Doesn't Mean

  • WIAB isn't "Chai Wallahs presents."
  • We don't lend our name to take the credit.
  • This isn't a rebrand of Chai — it's something new, from people you already know.

Held at the iconic home of Secret Garden Party — Grange Farm, Abbots Ripton. Alongside sharing the site, the SGP team programme their own stage, bringing their unmistakable spirit and creative chaos into the heart of the festival. A familiar setting, reimagined for something new.
