Sunshine music for the masses. The happy hippo always brings the sunshine no matter what the weather. This DJ/producer has created his own unique party vibe by infusing Afro, Latin and Caribbean music into his tastefully produced selections of Breaks, House, Drum & Bass/Jungle and Hip-Hop, resulting in pure feel-good sunshine party music designed to move your feet and uplift your soul. Over his 10 years of releasing music he has garnered praise from icons such as Sir David Rodigan, Don Letts, Craig Charles & Jeremiah Asiamiah, who’ve played his tracks on BBC Radio 1, BBC 1Xtra and BBC Radio 6.
“Clever stuff right!? … Very cool” — Sir David Rodigan, BBC 1Xtra
Selecta Si Chai
To say his taste is eclectic would be an understatement. To say his thirst for discovering new independent and emerging artists will never be quenched is a staggering truth, but one that rings true even after 25 years of support for grassroots culture. The result is an encyclopaedic knowledge of an enormous catalogue of utter bangers, curating spaces as a direct reaction to the mood, energy levels, and vibes of the audience before him. You never know what you’re gonna get, but it will be quality, soulful, transcendent, and definitely a party.
